The founders of futuredoctor, MUDr Amandeep Grewal and MUDr Andreas Zehetner, have already been able to fulfil the dreams of hundreds of students. Having once been medical students abroad themselves, they are ideally placed to put themselves in the students' shoes and use their expertise and personal experience to help students cope with the admissions process and medical studies.
But their commitment doesn't stop there. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they quickly realised that hospital capacities could soon be overloaded and medical staff would be overwhelmed by the workload. They responded to this with the nationwide and voluntary platform "match4healthcare". Using a specific algorithm, the innovation efficiently connects over 20,000 helpful medical students and specialists with healthcare facilities in need. With this arrangement, they were able to prevent a possible collapse of the healthcare system. The match4healthcare platform went viral in the press and media and was also nominated for the German Engagement Award in 2021.
Amandeep and Andreas not only received official support from the Federal Ministry of Health and the German Medical Association for their contribution, but also high praise from the German Federal President. In August 2021, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier thanked Amandeep and Andreas for their extraordinary commitment during the coronavirus crisis with an invitation to the Bellevue Palace.
Today, they want to convince you with their commitment and work with you to develop the major building blocks of a Medical studies abroad out of the way.
