The University of Latvia offers degree programmes in human medicine and dentistry. Both programmes are taught entirely in English. The human medicine programme lasts six years and ends with the internationally recognised degree of Medical Doctor (MD). The dentistry programme lasts five years and also leads to a recognised medical degree. These degrees are fully recognised in Germany, Austria and other EU countries and enable a professional career in medicine.
